Terms and conditions
1. Who you are dealing with
Garage Command Centre ("GCC", "we") is operated by Joshua Law, a sole trader trading as Garage Command Centre, Gloucester, United Kingdom. Contact: hello@garagecommandcentre.co.uk. These terms are a contract between us and the garage business that subscribes to GCC ("you"). By using GCC you accept them.
2. The service
GCC is web-based software for garages: quotes, bookings, workshop jobs, MOT reminders, customer messaging, and the GCC Finance Suite for bookkeeping, bank and card reconciliation, and VAT returns under Making Tax Digital. We may improve or change features over time; we will not remove a core feature you rely on without reasonable notice.
3. Your account and your people
You are responsible for everyone you give access to. Each person must have their own login or access key; do not share them. Tell us at once if you think an access key has been lost or misused, and revoke it from the software. You must give us accurate business details, including your VAT registration number if you use the VAT features.
4. Your data and your records
Your business records and your customers' data remain yours. You are the data controller; we process the data on your instructions as described in our privacy policy. You can export your books at any time and may ask for a full copy of your data if you leave. We keep accounting and VAT records for the period the law requires.
5. VAT returns and HMRC
The Finance Suite prepares your VAT return from the figures in your books and, when you tell it to, submits that return to HMRC using the permission you granted on HMRC's website. You remain responsible for the accuracy and completeness of your books and of every return submitted, for reviewing the figures before you submit, and for paying any VAT due. GCC is not an accountant and does not give tax advice. We will show you what will be submitted before it goes, and keep a record of what was submitted and HMRC's response.
6. Payments, bank feeds and third parties
Card payments are taken through your own merchant account with your payment provider; bank feeds are provided by your bank; messaging goes through SMS and WhatsApp providers. Those services are subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or for the fees they charge you.
7. Fees
Fees are as published on our website or agreed with you in writing, payable monthly in advance. We may change fees on 30 days' notice. If a payment is more than 14 days late we may suspend access until it is settled; your data is kept during a suspension.
8. Acceptable use
You must not use GCC to send unlawful or unsolicited messages, to store data you have no right to hold, to attempt to access another business's data, or to interfere with the service. We may suspend access to protect the service or other customers.
9. Availability and support
We aim to keep GCC available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be announced in advance where practicable. Support is by email at hello@garagecommandcentre.co.uk during UK business hours.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, or indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period. You are responsible for reviewing figures before any VAT submission and for keeping your own copies of records the law requires you to keep.
11. Ending the agreement
You can cancel at any time by email; access ends at the end of the paid period. We can end the agreement on 30 days' notice, or at once if you seriously breach these terms. After the agreement ends you may request a copy of your data for 90 days; after that we delete it except for records the law requires us to keep.
12. General
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If any part is found unenforceable the rest continues. We may update these terms; we will post the new version here with the date and tell you inside the application about any material change.
